Yeah sucker punch and with the , some feelings of the.
Yeah , I feel like it draws UN like you’re not expected. And so all of a sudden you’re just like sucked into the story .
I think one thing about that for my character is that , you know it starts off where we’re guy my character is is in a place where he’s feeling pretty terrible bad himself as music and we get actually see in this production him busking on the street and nobody paying attention. And that really happens cause audiences talking during the beginning of it and then when we kick into the leave , which really starts the show they go , oh , this is the show . Oh , it’s so yeah , it’s .
I have to ask , there’s something that happens early , and I don’t want to give it away for the audience and it’s a small thing. It involves a vacuum cleaner .
How do you practice down , I mean how do you.
It does not go perfect every night it did Friday. Yeah , it’s a little bit different every night . Most of that most nights , it does work . I just kind of have to like keep a focus on it to make sure I can lands the bits , but we definitely had a lot of test runs in rehearsal to to nail it down and kind of create . It’s the first incident really magic in the show , which I think really clues people into what this show is going to be like and that they can expect surprises and fun magical bits like that .
Yes , I agree , I also think that you know we all know that that moment won’t very well might not work perfectly , and it just keeps us on our toes and it’s , it’s really fun to likes to see Elizabeth and and everyone so sort of reaction just how well , what’s going to happen. Let’s find out . In there were , what are we going to do to fix it , and that’s one of the things that you know people love about live theater .
I think there was some confusion , sometimes with the audience should we applaud after a song or not and and at least my audience was slow and by the end we were applauding. But after the you know the hallmarks on that falling slowly happens throwing out not applauded because are we supposed to break the momentum or is that every audience different .
Every audience is completely different. And we’ve got in every response . There are some moments when we’ve like specifically cultivated the moment so that they won applause because we , we don’t want to break that momentum . And then there’s others that we , we like . I personally like it when an audience doesn’t apply because I feel like it’s generally because they’re so in it that they really don’t want to like Brewin the moment and distract but every now and then it’s nice when they dislike really go for it . Cause at that moment , you also know that they’re really enthusiastic .
Yes I agree it like I have certainly moments where I would like for them too and moments where I wouldn’t like for them to at least like that in my head. It’s designed that way , but just like the Hoover . You know , not knowing what’s going to happen next . And then just plodding on appropriately is is sort of the fun of the game , too . So , and I agree that I can I can you can feel when they’re not applauding cause they’re just like right there with you and they just want to see more what’s happening next in million .
I would just say that there is no incorrect response at any moment.
Except for answering yourself.
